so i went to a splendid little concert a few weeks ago and i became an instant fan of the guy. a louisville native (represent!), ben sollee is probably my new favorite musician. he is a very talented cellist with a beautifully unique voice and unforgettable lyrics. with a background as a member of the louisville orchestra, he combines a classical style with a modern edgy sound to create music that in my mind is truly revolutionary. i have no doubt that he is on his way to the top. so...CHECK HIM OUT!
on a side note, i just recently realized that i have actually hung out with mr. sollee. we actually went on a cliff jumping expedition together last year...and i just now put two and two together. that's right, i have famous friends. too bad i didn't know then what i know now! but yeah, here's the proof (he's on the far left):
